Kari-Tek is joining forces with a number of top sea kayaking coaches from the West Coast of Scotland to bring you the opportunity to try out some new sea kayaks - and get on-the-water kayaking skills coaching.

The weekend will be based at Tayvallich (near Lochgilphead), between 2 and 3 hours drive west of Glasgow. It's a superb location on Loch Sween with good local amenities - a kayak-friendly campsite, pub and tearoom. Kari-Tek's extensive demo fleet of sea kayaks will be available for you to try out as well as a range of paddles.

Coaching will be available at all levels and sessions will be tailored to the delegates - it's a great opportunity to learn new techniques or hone your existing skills. Like our normal demo days trying out the kayaks is free, but the coaching sessions will cost £50 per person - fantastic value!

On the day

Remember: you must register with us in advance before coming to a demo day.

Make sure you come along wearing suitable clothing – we find that a waterproof top, plus bottoms and footwear that keep you warm but don’t mind getting wet, are ideal. You may also want to bring a change of clothing for the trip home.

As part of the demo day we can supply you with buoyancy aid, paddle, spraydeck and boat. Of course, you’re welcome to bring along and use any of your own equipment.

Our demo days give you an unparalleled opportunity to try out a wide range of boats. We're always very grateful for help in loading and unloading our fleet at the start and end of the day!
